Henniker Community Clean Up Day

The Henniker Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Community Clean Up Day on Tuesday, September 21st from 2-5pm, followed by a barbeque at the Henniker Community Center. Volunteers can check-in anywhere between 2-3:30pm to get their assignment, trash bag, gloves and meal ticket for the barbeque. Volunteers are encourages to wear a t-shirt with their organization’s name on it and to bring their own gloves, hat, sunscreen and safety vest, if possible.
The chamber is looking for businesses and organizations to provide people to help with the clean up. Henniker Rotary Chili Festival - Another Great Success!
Showers couldn't keep them away. Crowds lined up to attend the 2010 - 8th Annual Henniker Rotary Chili Fest and Classic Car Show at Pat's Peak Ski Area. Chili Fans, young and younger wove through the crowds in both the "Professionals" and "Amateur" categories to sample the entries. Hot, mild, sweet, smoked, fruity, meaty, veggie and more; they were all represented to taste test. BBQ, ice cream, beverages, antique cars, vendors, demonstrations, music... entertained the masses.
